DANCE MARATHON

My name is Diya Chabria, and I am current Senior in High School.  I am doing this dance marathon to give back to the food allergy community. I am a dancer, and I have had life threatening food allergies since I was 21 days old.  Spreading more awareness about food allergies and making people more aware has made me super excited to put on this event.

Protect A Life Dance Marathon is a dance marathon that is dedicated to helping save the lives of those who have food allergies and can't afford epipens. The date for the Dance Marathon for 2021 will be determined soon.The entrance fee is $15.  There will be fun music, and you are  guaranteed a great time. Please join us to help those who can not afford epipens.

EPIPEN SHORTAGE
  • The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced that, in response to a national shortage of epinephrine auto-injectors, the agency is extending the expiration dates for specific lots of EpiPen (0.3 mg) and the authorized generic (0.3 mg) that have current expiration dates between April 2018 and December 2018.

  • Children with severe allergies, and their parents, remain in a state of anxiety as an international shortage of life-saving medication continues.

  • ​More than 1,500 anaphylactic events were reported by more than 8,000 responding schools. An epinephrine auto-injector was used in 83% of the events, and nearly 60% of the time an epinephrine auto-injector was used,
